Minimize Outlook instead of closing when clicking on the Close button

Kutools for Outlook

By default, clicking on the Close button will exit Outlook immediately. However, the Close To Minimize utility of Kutools for Outlook allows you to minimize Outlook instead of closing it when you click the Close button in the upper-right corner of the Outlook window.

Please do as follows to enable the Close To Minimize utility of Kutools for Outlook.

1. Click Kutools > Utilities > Close To Minimize.

From now on, Outlook will be minimized when you click the Close button in the upper-right corner of the Outlook window.

Notes:

  • To close Outlook after enabling the Close To Minimize feature, you can right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and select Close Outlook.
  • To disable this feature, simply click Kutools > Utilities > Close To Minimize again. Then, you can close Outlook using the Close button.
